The CSST Karnataka Province is a vibrant religious community rooted in the spiritual traditions of the Catholic Church and the Carmelite charism of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross.

With a mission to serve the Church and society, the sisters dedicate themselves to education, healthcare, pastoral ministry and social service, nurturing faith, character and holistic human development.

We, the CSST in union with God and in communion with all, launch into new ventures with compassionate justice for broken humanity and the cosmos, participating in the liberating and life-giving mission of Christ.

Our Charism

The CSST experiencing the compassionate love of God in contemplation is called to live in communion with her sisters and promote justice towards all, especially the poor and the marginalized.

Our Goal

The CSST, along with Mary, Mother of Carmel, directs her mission and ministry towards the final revelation of Christ in a totally transformed world.

A just society where Christ’s values of contemplation and compassion are lived in selfless service.
