  • St. John the Baptist Convent, Kumta:  The new Convent building was blessed and inaugurated on 16th of December 2020.
  • A seminar for Junior Sisters was held on ‘Spirituality of St. Joseph’  on February 10 & 11th  2021, at St. Joseph’s Convent at Mandya.
  •  The Indian Social Institute, Bangalore, arranged a Course on Finance Management and Compliance  from  March 8-12, 2021. Sr. Sowmyalatha  attended it  and made herself fit   for her important job as Provincial Bursar.
  • Being the year dedicated to St. Joseph , A  Webinar on St. Joseph was given by Fr. Gilbert Choondal on March 12th, 2021 and many of our Sisters participated in it.
  • A  news reporter by the name Patyam Kiram Kumar at Kadapa, seeing the Monument of Mother Teresa at Mangapatnam, surrounded by water  released from the Gandikota Reservoir, published an article  in Telugu news paper  about the Monument and who that Mother Teresa was and  what she had done for the  suffering humanity.  Reading these news, the Postal Department came forward to learn more about her and released  a postal envelope  with Mother Teresa’s stamp on it on 12th of  March 2021.
  • A retreat on ‘Dark Night of the Soul’  was arranged   for the 1st Batch of Sisters  from March 20-28th , 2021
  • The Transfer List  of Sisters was announced on  25th of March 2021
  •  6 acres of land was purchased  and registered  at Shahabad on March 25th 2021  for the expansion  of Mount Carmel School at Shahabad.
  •  4th of May, 2021 was a memorable day for our Silver and Golden Jubilarians of the  Province to celebrate  God’s faithfulness to them all through the past 25 and 50 years of their religious  commitment.
  • An online workshop  for the Vocation Promoters was held by the centre on May 8, 2021.  A few  vocation Promoters of the Province  attended it.
  • Srs. Michelle & Sahana worked with CSSR Fathers, from May 6 to July end, 2021  working for COVID patients at NSK, Davis Road, Bengaluru
  •  On the occasion of Mother Foundress’ death Anniversary, our Superior General asked the Provinces to  give an online presentation on our Foundress.  Our sisters took active part and presented  a 7 minutes programme   on May 8, 2021
  • A solemn celebration of Final Profession of Sr. Shalini  was held  on May 12th, 2021. Most Rev. K.A. William,  Bishop of Mysuru officiated the ceremony and was the main celebrant for the Eucharist with a few Carmelite Fathers  as concelebrants.  The ceremony was  presented online since it was the pandemic time except a few sisters and  close relatives of Sr. Shalini were invited.
  • There was an online  seminar on FCRA: Latest Changes and Developments on 14th of August 2021.  One sister from each community attended  this seminar.
  • Sr. Sahana worked with CSSR Fathers at Gundalpet,  from September to December 2021 for Jana Suraksha  Covid 19 resistant programme  on awareness and nutrition.
  • A Semminar on Social Apostolate was attended by Sr. Gloria  Teresita at Caritas India, Chennai   from November 6 –  25, 2021.
  • A  one- day seminar was held  by the CRI on Synod, its meaning and its implications.  Most of our sisters attended it and there was also a  follow up.
  • A questionnaire  and study material was sent to the communities to make a study on SYNODALITY and  reports were collected from the communities.
  • Our General and Provincials kept us  active and  on foot.  The Christmas programme as usual was held on December 19, 2021 with our elderly sisters. Our postulants and candidates presented an online Christmas play entitled ‘the coming of the Messiah in the present situation’.  It was much appreciated.
  • From  1st to 28th  of February 2022, the Finance Commission was sent on visiting  each community and school/college to inspect and evaluate the financial activities of the Institution and Convent. They prepared a report of their findings and presented it to the Provincial.
  • Annual Retreat for the 1st Batch of sisters was held at STPH, from January 6 – 14, 2022. It was preached by Fr. Oswald Crasta OCD on the theme ‘Living Flame of Love’. 35 sisters attended  this retreat.
  • On January 25th & 26th, 2022, there was a get together of the Junior Sisters at the Provincial House.
  • 20 sisters of the Province were being trained  on Religious  Leadership  to animate  communities for  apostolic ministry  from February  17-25, 2022, at Xavier Sadan, Mysuru.
  • An online seminar on TALLY AND EXCEL was available  from February  26th – March 5th, 2022. Sr.  Sowmyalatha  found it useful for her ministry and attended it.
  • A  two day seminar for the members of Education Commission was organised in the Provincial House on February 14-15, 2022 to instruct  them the necessity and the procedure of evaluation with the newly prepared format.
  • A seminar was held for those engaged in social apostolate on March 11th, 2022 on  Evaluation  of Social Apostolate ministry.
  • The General Body Meeting  of all the H.M’s, Managers and school Administrators was arranged on  11th  &  12th of March 2022, to  understand the new education policy,  its demands and implications. The  annual  Consolidated Finance Report  was prepared by Sr. Sowmyalatha  and was displayed on the  power point screen. The explanation was given and  doubts were cleared.  Fr. Alengaden  Varghese  gave a talk on Value Education to our  educational  group.
  • March 13, 2022, was a memorable day for all the Jubilarians – Dimond Jubilarians – Srs. Clementia, Canice ,Florian and Marilyn, Golden Jubilarians – Srs. Helen Marie, Juanita, Rosalina & Merylle, Silver Jubilarians: Srs. Tressy, Roopa Fernandes, Jessy Maria, Sheela Mary, Sajana & Alvina. It was  a special celebration,  for  the 1st time in Karnataka  with a big gathering of Superiors, H.M’s and  many sisters who gathered for the meeting. A meaningful prayer service, Eucharistic celebration and a sumptuous meal marked the day.
  • Our Junior Sisters had their 3 weeks’ Summer Course in Kerala this year. Sr. Loveena accompanied our Junior Sisters to Kerala on 2nd of May 2022
  • The Provincial Secretary  Sr. Vanitha  was unable  to continue with  her  job as Provincial secretary so in her place Sr. Claret was appointed  to continue the work of Secretary from May 1st , 2022.
  • A seminar was arranged by General Councillor for Education on  10,11& 13th of June 2022 at the Generalate.  18 of our H.M’s of the high schools and colleges attended it.
  • The 1st batch of Animators 15 of them  attended  the  seminar at the Generalate from June 24th to July 12, 2022
  • 7th and 9th of July 2022 were the special days of thanksgiving  for our Mount Carmel Sisters and the whole CSST family for the numerous blessings God had showered on our Institutions at MCC. Bengaluru, (Platinum Jubilee)  for the past 75 years.
  • A seminar for Animators was held on July 30,2022. Sr. Jyothi  UFS was called to give an orientation talk on  importance of prayer and community building. Provincial addressed the sisters speaking on Mother Foundress and her vision.
  • The Governing Body Meeting  of TCES was held on 31st of July 2022. Mrs Mala gave us useful tips on how to work out details of Gratuity, Insurance and cleared the doubts of our sisters on the above.  Lawyer Gerald Castelino enlightened the group with his sharing and discussion  regarding  the property matters, legal issues and how to legally hold correspondence concerning various issues. Sr. Albina the Councillor for Education updated the group with the recent issues that are coming up in the system of Education and how to go about  to improve the standard of our institutions. Sister also evaluated the work done in our schools and encouraged our various departments to do something more for the betterment in Education. Certain sections of the Education Policy were read out and explained to the sisters.

  • Mount Carmel College keeping in mind to apply for the University status has purchased 45 acres of land in 2 phases out of 200 acres which they intend to purchase after obtaining required permission.
  • The Government of Andhra Pradesh as for its plan, constructed the Gandikota Dam and released water to the dry areas of 4 villages.  Mangapatnam is one of those villages.   The water of the dam has reached the monument of our Foundress and has already submerged its foundation. The surrounding area is covered by water and there is no access to the monument. The people who have found a new living by fishing have encroached the  area. So, to save the  historical monument of our holy Foundress, the Province has decided to purchase some land from the Government. The process is on. Please pray for our common cause. We felt the urgent  need and decided to construct a pathway from the road to the monument  by clearing the thorny bushes,  and placing boulders to walk to the monument. The Province has taken up this arduous task. The work has already started but cannot complete without the permission of the Govt. It is supervised by our sisters at Mangapatnam especially Sr. Rochana.
  • A seminar was arranged for vocation promoters on 7th of August 2022. Provincial spoke about the importance of vocation Promotion work in the Province.  There was an evaluation  work done,  with the help of the Formation Councillor Sr. Manjari and Junior Mistress Sr. Loveena. Fr. Santha, a Capuchin priest gave a talk to them about the vocations to religious life and how  we ought to be an inspiration to the youth of today if we need to promote vocations.
  • It is for the 1st time we had a renewal programme  arranged  in the Province  for the Finally Professed Sisters up to 10 years  on the 17th & 18th of August, 2022. It was organized at STPH.  There were 26 sisters. On the 17th Fr. Dionysius the Jesuit Provincial gave the sessions on self esteem and sexuality. On  the 18th, Sr. Jose Lynette our Assistant General  took up the classes.  Sisters were happy to listen to Sr. Chris  our Superior General  too  online.  All this was to strengthen the vocation of our young sisters.
  • The Junior sisters had their 2-day get together on 13th and 14th of August 2022                       at Christ the King Convent, Mysuru.
  • August  20th & 21st, 2022,  were the memorable days for our Sisters of St. Paul’s Convent,  Davangere. They  celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the Institution.  God’s grace and blessings were marvellous on our Institutions all through the past 76 years. It was an   auspicious event in the history of Davangere. They remembered all the elderly sisters, teachers, the people of the place who supported whole heartedly  and the alumni who  built up our Institution.
  • A  one-day  vocation camp was arranged  on 27th of August 2022, by our Mysore Region  Vocation Promoters under the leadership of Sr. Manjari the Provincial Councillor for Formation at Avila Convent, Mysuru.  150 girls  attended the camp.
  • On 31st  a vocation camp was held at Shimoga  diocese, Sr. Marjorie  attended the camp and spoke to the girls about our Foundress and  our Institute.
